"Shades of Grey" Pendant & More

Shades of Grey Pendant by Cindi McGee
Love & Lace... Hearts..... Valentine's..... Love......."50 Shades of Grey"..... ???

I created this pendant with some of the fabulous goodies in the January "Love & Lace" Create Along Box! I used the lace Color Me Magic Transfer Paper, and the lace stencil. premo! Sculpey® clay was used to create the Skinner Blend, premo! Accents for the silver, and Sculpey® Clear Liquid Clay to add shine. The box also included shimmering pink mica powder, a heart cutter, a silkscreen, more great Transfer Paper options, a piece of vintage lace and a brand new item offered by Create Along - a Deco Disc! I've been having fun creating with many of the items in the box, including these two pieces. The heart cutter (along with more fabulous silkscreens and Magic Transfer Paper designs from Create Along) was used for the bohemian heart pendant below, and the Deco Disc was used for a mandala pendant she will be sharing soon! Learn more about the monthly Create Along box here!   AND - there are a limited number of the amazing Love & Lace January Create Along Boxes still available!  Order yours here.

Frosted Snowflakes Pendant polymer clay createalongbox project

Frosted Snowflakes Pendant by Cindi McGee
The November CreateAlongBox.com Winter Wonderland Box arrived at my doorstep full of everything I could imagine needing to create awesome wintery designs!   This pendant uses many of the elements from the kit - the snowflake silicone mold, the texturestax snowflake stamps, the mica powder, and the
pearlescent ink pad.    A mandala flower stamp, also from CreateAlong.com, did double duty as a large snowflake for the mica shift technique used as the base of the center of the pendant.

I used premo Sculpey® Accents - Pearl and White Gold Glitter clay, and  premo Sculpey® white clay for some components. The finished piece has a subtle shimmer and sparkle that reminds me of new fallen snow!

Fall is here and the leaves are falling right into this fun pendant tutorial

I absolutely love this time of year especially here in northern Florida where we get a break from the 90+ degree temps. I live in the country surrounded by trees so that was definitely the inspiration for this pendant tutorial. I wanted to find a way to combine a bunch of leaf molds to make something whimsical and fun. Create a long with me while I show you how I made this fun polymer clay leaf pendant.

Find all the molds I used in the shop:
